On this page I'll add in one or two 'Scouting' pictures which I like and I hope you will too. If you don't like them, please don't lose any sleep about it because I'm not going to.

Gilwell Reunion - September 2004 - next to the statute of the boy scout near the main square.

As part of the inauguration ceremony a Chief Scout's Picnic was held on the training field in Gilwell. We all had to take picnics along so we decided to make fresh Welsh cakes and hand them out to other picnickers. Although we had had to improvise on the tools for the job (rolling pin - empty Grolsch bottle - cake cutter - jam jar lid) they were delicious if we say so ourselves and it brought a little culture to the event as well.

The picture above shows us running our improvised bakery.

We let the Chief Scout of the UK - Peter Duncan - have his photo taken with us and gave him a Welsh cake.
